To say the least it's been
challenging in these parts. The DC area was hit with a huge snowstorm
Saturday and measurements in the area got up to 40". My back
deck measured 25" and that was quite enough! The store was closed
on Saturday and I spent the day cooking and baking, yum. Darryel and I
got to the store early yesterday morning and shoveled out a nice path from
King Street to our front door. This picture is of me standing behind
the mound of snow we built. There were a few brave souls who came in
and shopped and for that I am grateful. Valentine's
Day will be here in less than a week. We've pinked up the La

Stuff to Share One of my friends recently
told me I should start a 'deals' section on my website because if there's a
deal to be had you bet I'll find it! My latest and greatest find is Groupon. This link will bring you to the DC site
but if you go up top you can click on 'visit more cities' to find your
city. I found out about it back in December and have used it to
purchase Broadway play tickets, a cooking class and a facial. All at least 50% off.
It totally rocks! Another tidbit for the day
is that one of my artist's, Diane English, has just taken the price tag off
of her ecards - they are now free. She has always been one of the
best selling artists at La Muse and receiving one of her cards will make

La Muse announces 'Daily Deals' So now that you know
what Groupon is you'll understand that it has inspired me to create my own Daily
Deals
on the La Muse website. Several times a week I will offer an item or
group of items at 50-90% off. Generally there will only be one or two
of the item available and once it's gone, it's gone! I will also lower
the price of the item until it is sold. So, be on the lookout, check
back often and make sure you become a fan on Facebook
